AFONSO DOING CHARITY WORK

During the European off-season in the summer, Afonso regularly organises charity matches along with other players based in Europe. The proceeds are donated to charitable foundations such as the Association of Parents and Friends of Children with Special Needs (APAE) in Brazil. This summer, Afonso organised six charity games, with the money raised - around R$ 60,000 - donated to various organisations that support children in need.
